The Complete NFL Futures Odds Picture: Week 10

Cleveland Browns Futures Odds Week 10

Current Best Odds: +3000, Bet MGM

The Cleveland Browns seemed to get better after ditching Odell Beckham Jr. before last week’s game against Cincinnati, which the Browns won 41-16 on the road, to improve to 5-4.

We will learn a ton about Cleveland this week when they visit a Patriots team that is also 5-4. Cleveland will play Detroit and then visit Baltimore the next two weeks before their bye in Week 13.

Cleveland will ask more of tight end David Njoku and receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones but the truth is Beckham was not playing well. As the ostensible number one option in Cleveland he had half as many receiving yards as Van Jefferson, the number three option for the Rams, has so far this season.

Kareem Hunt will be back soon and the Browns’ strength will be their three-headed backfield of N/ick Chubb, Hunt, and D’Ernest Johnson, who have combined for 1,277 rushing yards and are all running for 5.2 or more yards per carry. The Browns are loaded with talent, witness the massive contracts both Cleveland starting guards received this week, and they could potentially be a nightmare matchup for a soft defense in the playoffs.

New England Patriots Futures Odds Week 10

Current Best Odds: +4000, FanDuel

This may be the week where we answer the question: are the New England Patriots good? New England has one impressive win thus far in 2021, beating the Chargers 27-24 in Los Angeles, though it was essentially a home game for the Patriots.

New England’s four other wins are against the Panthers, Texans, and the Jets twice. They have lost to Miami, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, and Dallas. They are 1-4 at home and their next two home games after this will be against Tennessee and Buffalo, arguably the class of the AFC right now.

The rest of the Patriots’ schedule includes the Bills twice, trips to Indianapolis and Atlanta and a finishing stretch of Jacksonville and Miami. With a win against the Browns, New England could be 6-4 and looking at an 11-6 or 10-7 record. With a loss, they will be chasing a playoff spot uphill this December.

New Orleans Saints Futures Odds Week 10

Current Best Odds: +6000, Bet MGM

Can a team led by Taysom Hill or Trevor Siemien be a Super Bowl contender? Logic says no and so does the eye test, but then why do the Saints have better odds than Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, the Raiders, and the Colts?

New Orleans still has an elite offensive line, an excellent running back, and a really solid defense. Sean Payton has done a masterful job with this team, but doesn’t it seem like this team has a ceiling? It would be an accomplishment to make the playoffs at 9-8 or 10-7 with this roster, even if it means getting the seventh seed in the NFC and being blown out in Dallas or Green Bay on wild card weekend.

This number seems too high at 60-1 and isn’t particularly exciting at 70 or 80 to 1, either.
