Women’s Final Four: South Carolina vs Iowa Odds, Prediction, & Start Time

The South Carolina Gamecocks take on the Iowa Hawkeyes in a matchup of the best team in women’s college basketball, the Gamecocks vs. the best player in the sport, Caitlin Clark of the Hawkeyes.

South Carolina women’s basketball is the best show in sports right now. They haven’t lost a game since March 6th of 2022, 42 wins in a row. They won the national championship last year, made the Final Four the year before, and won the championship in 2017 as well.

Stars Zia Cooke and Aliyah Boston have led the Gamecocks to their impressive season. Cooke, a freshman guard, is scoring 15.1 points per game while Boston, a senior forward, is leading the way in the postseason putting up 12 points and 11 rebounds per game. 

Iowa has had a solid women’s basketball program up until this year, making the Elite 8 in 2019 and the Sweet 16 in 2021, but this year they absolutely blew up. Caitlin Clark is one of the biggest names in college sports, she is averaging 30 points, 11 assists, and 6 rebounds per game in the tournament, including a 40 point triple double in their last game vs. Louisville.

Clark just missed the age cutoff to be eligible for the WNBA draft, but she’s not complaining considering she is raking in money through NIL deals with companies like Bose and Nike. 

Clark is a superstar who can score from anywhere on the court, but the depth and talent of South Carolina will prove to be too much for just Clark to handle. The Gamecocks will win and cover the X spread.
