The Bulls travel to Brooklyn on Thursday to face off against the Nets in primetime on TNT. In their last matchup on January 4, Chicago bested Brooklyn 121-112.

Since Kyrie Irving was traded, and Kevin Durant has been out with an injury, Brooklyn has had to look for someone else to carry the scoring load; Cam Thomas has been that guy. In the two games without Kyrie so far, Thomas has put up 44 and 47 points, respectively. The Nets went 1-1 in those games as they try to keep their heads above water until KD returns from injury. Whether the Nets use Thomas’ recent success to trade him or continue to ride his momentum is to be seen. 

The Bulls have won four out of five and are 2.5 games back from the sixth seed entering Wednesday. They look to keep up their winning and make a push out of the play-in tournament and into the playoffs. DeMar DeRozan is leading the Bulls with 25.9 points per game, shooting 51.0% from the floor.
