We picked the Chargers to be the second best team in the league before the season started and we’ll stick with them after their solid Week 1 performance.
Bucs -3 over Saints
The Saints have swept the Bucs for three straight regular seasons, though the Bucs did beat them in the 2020 postseason.
Giants -2.5 over Panthers
The Panthers are trying to snap an 8-game losing streak and they have not covered once during their losing streak. This pick does not indicate that I’m buying the Giants, it’s that I’m selling the Panthers.
Browns -6 over Jets (BEST BET)
Best betting the team playing the Jets every week that they trot out Joe Flacco.
Steelers +2.5 over Patriots
The Pats have now lost 5 of their last 6 games dating back to last season, and have only covered in one of those games.
Dolphins +3.5 over Ravens
The Dolphins have quietly won nine of their last ten games, dating back to last season.
Jaguars +3 over Colts
The Jaguars defeated the Colts 26-11 as a +14 home underdog in Week 18 last season. That was the only time Jacksonville has covered in their past nine games.
Detroit was last favored in a game on November 22, 2020 in Carolina. They lost 20-0.
Seahawks +9 over 49ers
The Seahawks have pretty quietly dominated the 49ers in recent years, beating them 15 times in their last 17 matchups, including sweeps in 2020 and 2021. That’s not why we’re picking Seattle though’ the 49ers offense is a mess.
Falcons +10 over Rams
Literally the only thing we definitively learned about the Rams last week is that they’re not as good as the best team in the NFL.
Cardinals +5.5 over Raiders (BEST BET)
These teams are extremely similar, so we’re taking the points. The 51.5 total is the highest of the day and it makes sense, neither of these teams can play defense.
Texans +10 over Broncos
The most underrated player in the NFL? Davis Mills.
Bengals -7 over Cowboys

Honestly, this is the game I’m least certain about. Cooper Rush beat the Vikings last year but the Cowboys couldn’t move the ball last week with Dak Prescott.
Bears +10 over Packers
The Bears defense plays incredibly hard. Their offense is objectively bad. The Packers are the variable here, was it a bad Week 1 for the second straight season, or are they missing talent on offense?
Titans +10 over Bills
The Titans beat the Chiefs and Rams by a combined 55-19 last season and also lost to the Jets and Texans. Anything is possible every week for Tennessee, which also beat Buffalo last season.
Vikings +2.5 over Eagles
Kevin O’Connell’s Coach of the Year odds are all the way down to +800. Should have grabbed them earlier instead of our Kirk Cousins MVP bet.
