miami dolphins 17 vs san francisco 49ers 33
ANALYSIS
The Dolphins and the 49ers will look to end each other’s winning streak this Sunday afternoon.
The Dolphins cruised to a 30-15 bashing of the Texans last week. The score does not reflect how dominated the Texans were in all facets of the game. The only reason the Texans were even able to score was because the Fins rested some of their starters late in the third quarter.
Tua Tugovailoa threw for 299 and a TD before getting some well deserved time on the sidelines with a comfortable lead. Miami’s Defense was also completely dominant, picking off Kyle Allen twice while also recovering a fumble for a TD. They also sacked the QB 5 times. If the Fins are able to play this well on both sides of the ball they are going to be tough to beat.
In the 49ers win over the Saints last week, the defense showed up, to say the least. They are the first team to shut out the Saints since 2001 in their 13-0 victory. On the offensive side of the ball, Jimmy Garoppolo struggled to move the ball down the field with only 222 passing yards and 1 TD. The ground game was no better, and bruising back Elijah Mitchell is expected to miss time with an MCL sprain. The Niners offense will need to step up if they want to compete with the power of Miami.
