dallas cowboys 28 vs green bay packers 31

ANALYSIS

When we last saw the Cowboys, Tony Pollard ran for 131 yards and 3 touchdowns on just 14 carries. Jerry Jones insists that Ezekiel Elliott, who’s been nursing a knee injury, is still the starter when he’s able to take the field, but Pollard has run more efficiently than Zeke every season he’s been in the league (this year by more than 2 yards per carry), and you’ve got to wonder when those roles will be reversed. Dak Prescott hasn’t had to do much in his two games back as the Cowboys have blown out both the Lions and the Bears, and the Packers may not prove to be any more difficult.

The Packers have now lost 5 consecutive games against the Giants, Jets, Commanders, Bills, and Lions respectively. The New York teams have been much better than expected this season, the Bills are the current Super Bowl favorites, and even the Commanders have been playing better with Taylor Heinicke under center. The Lions though? I think just about everyone expected Aaron Rodgers to find his footing against a team he’s been beating up on since he entered the league. The Packers offense has been in absolute shambles with the departure of Davante Adams

The Packers have handed a loss to the Cowboys in 8 of their last 10 matchups, but they’re 4.5 point favorites this week, and it feels like that number should be higher based on how the Packers looked over the last 5 weeks.

WHY BET ON THE dallas cowboys

The Cowboys are 6-1 against the spread in their last 7 games, 10-2 in their last 12 road games, and 5-1 in their last 6 games against NFC teams. The Packers’ anemic offense will have a tough time putting up points against the Cowboys Top-3 defense.

WHY BET ON THE green bay packers

The Packers are 1-6 against the spread in their last 6 games. Bettors have been hesitant to wager against Aaron Rodgers, and the spreads probably aren’t as large as they should be because of his name, but the Cowboys look to be playing quite a bit more than 4.5 points better than the Packers
