The Buffalo Bills head to Ford Field for the second time in five days, this time as the away team, to take on the streaking Lions in the first Thanksgiving game of 2022. 

Last week against the Browns, the Bills put up 31 points, a feat one would expect from such a high octane offense. Something NFL fans would not expect however, would be that only 14 of those 31 points came from touchdowns. Bills kicker Tyler Bass converted 6 FGs which allowed the Browns to stay in a game that really should have been a blowout. This week against the Lions, except a lot more touchdowns against a Detroit defense that has so far been historically bad. 

The Detroit Lions start to the season was, in polite terms, awful. They have since turned things up and have been on a three game win streak. Yes, two of those wins were against the Packers and Bears, but their most recent win against the Giants proved they can contend with top teams. The Lions have scored 31 points in back to back games while their defense has seemed to improve, allowing an average of only 19 points in their win streak. If the Lions want a chance at contending against the Bills, both their offense and defense must be firing on all cylinders. Note that the last time the Lions beat the Bills was in 2006.
