The Panthers look to get even with the Falcons after losing in dramatic fashion just two weeks ago.

The Falcons are currently sitting at 4-5 and tied in first place in the NFC South. Atlanta might be slightly better than their record lets on as all but one of their losses have been by a single score, and things easily could have gone the other way. Atlanta boasts the 5th ranked rushing attack in the league and the 6th best scoring offense overall, but on the defensive side of the ball, they rank 29th in points given up and are dead last in defending the pass.

Under normal circumstances, the Panthers might start thinking about this year as a lost season, sitting at 2-7 and in the cellar of their division. This year though, the NFC South is still wide open heading into Week 10, they’re only two games behind the division leading Buccaneers, and not a single team in the division is currently above .500. The question now is who is going to be the Panthers’ quarterback? P.J. Walker was pulled at halftime last week after going 3/10 for 9 yards and 2 INTs, contributing to the Bengals’ enormous 35-0 1st half lead. Baker Mayfield came in and went 14/20 for 155 yards and 2 TDs in the second half. The game was over by the time he took his first snap, but we’ll see if Carolina makes another QB switch.

In their Week 8 matchup, P.J. Walker connected with DJ Moore on a 62 yard touchdown with 23 seconds left on the clock. Due to Moore’s unsportsmanlike penalty though, the 47 yard extra point was missed, the game went to OT, a Panthers 32 yard field goal was missed, and then the Falcons connected on a 41 yard field goal for the win.
