Falcons Sign Marcus Mariota to be New QB

Following the franchise-altering trade of Matt Ryan, the Atlanta Falcons signed Marcus Mariota to take over at quarterback. The former No. 2 overall pick comes as a seven-year veteran with starting experience. The move reunites Mariota with Arthur Smith, who was an assistant coach while Mariota was in Tennessee. Atlanta also re-signed Cordarrelle Patterson to a two-year, $10.5 million deal.
