brooklyn nets 86 vs philadelphia 76ers 107
ANALYSIS
Ben Simmons returns to Philly as the Nets face the undermanned 76ers in an Eastern Conference matchup.
Despite the controversial statements from superstar Kevin Durant regarding his teammates, Royce O’neal had his back in their win against the Blazers, putting back a missed shot from Durant as time expired to secure the win. It was a much needed win for the Nets, who narrowly avoided extending their losing streak to three games. While his words sparked mixed emotions, Durant’s numbers don’t lie, averaging 30 points per game to go along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Kyrie Irving is officially questionable for Sunday’s game against the Grizzlies, and looks to help get the struggling Nets back on track.
The James Harden-less Sixers have not been doing so bad without the superstar, with big back to back wins against the Bucks and the Jazz. Unless you have been living under a rock, you probably know that Joel Embiid has been making statements for why he’s the best center, or player, in the NBA right now. This season, points have seemingly come easy for the big man. Over his last four games, Embiid has put up 32, 32, 59 and 42. Absolutely insane. With the new loss of star guard Tyrese Maxey, Embiid will need to carry an even bigger load if the Sixers want a shot at beating the Nets.
