There are 16 games today across Major League Baseball, including a doubleheader between the Rockies and Marlins. Out of all those games, our three favorites bets each involve a road underdog winning outright today. Let’s get to our MLB picks of the day:
Washington Nationals @ New York Mets
The Bet: Nationals Moneyline (+205, DraftKings)
The New York Mets are 27-9 this season when facing right handed starters. Against lefties, they are 7-8. Washington is throwing, you guessed it, a lefty to the hill today against the Amazin’s.
Evan Lee will be making his MLB debut today for the Nationals. Hill was a 15th round pick in 2018 who struggled in high-A ball last season and has a 3.90 ERA in seven starts at AA Harrisburg this season. Still, the Nationals are a whopping +205 underdogs today against a team that hasn’t really hit lefthanders.
We’re saying the Nationals avoid the sweep behind a solid start from Lee. We’re taking the Nats moneyline.
Chicago White Sox @ Toronto Blue Jays
The Bet: White Sox Moneyline (FanDuel, +116)

The White Sox are starting a pitcher with a 1.29 ERA today. The Blue Jays are countering with a starter who has a 5.48 ERA.
Chicago’s Michael Kopech has allowed 6 runs in 8 starts this season and has a WHIP of 0.857. Toronto’s Hyun Jin-Ryu has allowed 6 runs in a start this season.
The White Sox have played better on the road (12-11) than at home (11-13) this season. Chicago is 14-9 ATS in away games this season. Toronto is 8-15 ATS at home.
We’re keeping up with Kopech today and taking the White Sox moneyline. This is our best MLB bet of the day.
San Francisco Giants @ Philadelphia Phillies
The Bet: Giants Moneyline (+107, UniBet)

The Giants are underdogs on Wednesday despite the fact that they are trying to complete a series sweep in Philadelphia. San Francisco beat the Phillies 7-4 in 11 innings on Tuesday after Roman Quinn struck out with the bases loaded to end the game. The Giants had knocked off the Phillies 5-4 on Monday.
Carlos Rodon will pitch for San Francisco on Wednesday, matching up against Aaron Nola. Rodon has a 3.60 ERA this season but has been unlucky, as his FIP is 2.62, nearly identical to last season’s, when he had a 2.37 ERA.
Aaron Nola is Philadelphia’s starter on Wednesday. He has also been better than his 3.56 ERA indicates with a 0.94 WHIP.
The Phillies are trying to snap a five game losing streak and they have won just one of their last 8 games. It says here that their losing streak will grow to six games because we’re grabbing the Giants moneyline today.
