For a glimpse into the future of the NFL position at quarterback, look no further than Deshawn Watson against Lamar Jackson this Sunday. Both teams (and QBs) come into this matchup on a hot streak. The Ravens have won five straight, including at Seattle and home against New England. Jackson had a perfect quarterback rating last week, not to mention a stellar 47-yard touchdown run in a 49-13 demolition of the winless Bengals. Houston comes into this one leading the AFC South after winning four out of their last five contests, and they are fresh off their bye week. They are fourth in yards gained this year with an average of 396 yards on offense, but Baltimore is second with 421. Both teams sport average offenses, each allowing 21 points per game. While Baltimore is favored, the game may be closer than expected. The Ravens are just 2-8 against the spread in their previous 10 home games, while the Texans are 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 contests on the road. It’s also not unreasonable to expect a high scoring, back and forth game, which would lend well to a bet on the over.
